On Friday, May 8th, Rotterdam’s Ays returns to Time is the New Space, inviting Manchester-based Yadava for a special 5-hour back-to-back set that will take you on an uplifting journey through all kinds of music like disco, jazz-funk, Afro, and house.

Ays is known for her heartfelt selections that blur the lines between dancefloor devotion and deep listening, guided by a deep love for musical storytelling. Her sets captivate instantly, often driven by vocals and the deeper messages woven into disco, boogie, jazz, house, Afro, and Brazilian sounds. With an emotion-first approach, whether she’s exploring eclectic grooves or delivering straight-up house, she effortlessly moves both hearts and bodies. You may have seen her at festivals and stages such as North Sea Jazz, Lowlands, Down The Rabbit Hole, Rainbow Disco Club, and Rush Hour, and she is also co-host of Love Transmission.

Joining her is Yadava, a DJ and producer and co-founder of Manchester’s long-running club night So Flute and the not-for-profit party and label All Kinds Of Joy. His sound flows joyfully across jazz, gospel, disco, house, and beyond. He also hosts a bi-monthly NTS show with collaborator Contours, diving into deeper jazz-influenced and electronic selections from his collection. Yadava has released music on respected labels like Church, Omena, and Tru Thoughts, with support from tastemakers including Gilles Peterson, Moxie, and Osunlade. As a DJ, he has shared stages with artists such as Floating Points, Ge-ology, Sadar Bahar, and live acts like Hailu Mergia, and has appeared at festivals including We Out Here.
